Summer Updates!!
– The New Freedom Family Medicine Team
Hello New Freedom Family! As we settle into the coming summer months we need to remind everyone about VACATIONS! Yours and ours. If you need need special refills, please get your requests in with enough time to order medication or get Rx's to the pharmacy. MOST insurances will cover special fills for vacation. Some medications can be filled in other States, but some cannot. So Please keep that in mind when traveling.
Dr. Allen: I will be on vacation from June 28- July 23, and in the Washington Office on July 24th. I have not had a real, completely UNPLUGGED vacation in 10 years. I am going to try to do that. With our mission of true health for all, I hope that you understand how important this is for me and my family. The TEAM at NFFM will be available for your healthcare needs. Please allow them to help.
Dr. McClintock: Dr. McC will be on vacation from June 16-26. She will be back in the office in O'Fallon on June 29th.
Dr. Jess Higlen, NP: will be on vacation June 17th-21st.
The nurses and other staff may also be out of the office for vacations during this time. Please be patient as we worked short staffed during the summer months. Thank you for your understanding.
PORTAL REMINDER: We turned off messaging in the portal last year. Please use the Spruce app to send messages to anyone on the team. DO NOT email Dr. Allen. We cannot monitor the volume of messaging via email or in this portal. Spruce is HIPAA compliant and secure. All important messages should go through Spruce.
NOW OFFERING ACH-- In order to reduce fees we are able to process payments using ACH. All new patients will be asked to use ACH to pay their monthly membership. Any current members who would like to change to ACH will be opted out of coming credit card fee increases later this year.
To continue providing the highest level of care to every patient, we kindly ask for your help with the following:
• Please be mindful of appointment times. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure we stay on schedule for all patients.
• Walk-in visits: While we always want to help our patients, walking in and requesting to see a provider without an appointment may not be possible. The best way to guarantee your spot is to schedule an appointment as recommended by your provider.
These guidelines allow us to respect everyone’s time and continue delivering the attentive, high-quality care you deserve. Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us make this a great year ahead. We look forward to continuing to care for you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer Allen
